1. Acceptance

By using FreeCouchSurf.com, you agree to these Terms of Use. FreeCouchSurf is a free hospitality platform connecting travellers and hosts worldwide.

2. Free Service

FreeCouchSurf is and always will be 100% free. We never charge guests or hosts for connecting on our platform.

3. Community Safety

Users must be 18 or older. You are responsible for your own safety. We strongly recommend video calls before any in-person meetings. FreeCouchSurf is not responsible for interactions between users.

4. Female Safety Policy

Hosts who mark their profile as "Female-Led Hosting" are committing to providing a safe, respectful environment for female travellers. Misrepresentation of this badge may result in immediate account suspension.

5. Prohibited Conduct

You may not use FreeCouchSurf to: harass or harm others, post false information, charge money for hosting (which violates our free ethos), or engage in any illegal activity.

6. Zero Tolerance for Objectionable Content and Abusive Users

FreeCouchSurf has zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behaviour. By using FreeCouchSurf you agree that you will not post, upload, transmit, or otherwise share any content that is harassing, threatening, hateful, sexually explicit, violent, discriminatory, illegal, defamatory, spammy, or otherwise objectionable. Users who post such content, or who behave abusively toward other members, will have their content removed and their account permanently terminated.

If you encounter content or a user that violates these rules:

• Flag it. Every profile, message, post and photo in the app has a Report option. Tap it to send a report directly to our moderation team.
• Block them. You can block any user from their profile screen. Blocking instantly removes their content from your feed, conversations and search results, and prevents them from contacting you again.

We commit to reviewing every report within 24 hours and, where the report is upheld, removing the offending content and ejecting the user who provided it. To report content or a user outside the app, email jc@jaycuba.com with the username and a description of the issue.

7. Disclaimers

FreeCouchSurf provides a platform for connection only. We do not verify the identity or safety of all users. Use common sense, trust your instincts, and always share your travel plans with a trusted friend.
