House Sitting in Madrid — FAQ

A homeowner in Madrid lists the dates they'll be away; a traveller stays in the home for free and looks after it — typically pets, plants, mail and general security. No money changes hands, and FreeCouchSurf charges neither side anything.

FreeCouchSurf currently has 4 members in Madrid for House Sitting. Contacting any of them is free — no membership fee, no per-message charge.

Usually not — house sitting is an exchange: free accommodation in Madrid in return for the responsibilities you agree on in advance. Discuss expectations (pet routines, plant care, visitors policy) in chat before confirming.

Create a free profile, set your offer type to house sitting, and describe your experience with pets and homes. Reviews from previous stays and a verified badge make homeowners in Madrid far more likely to choose you.
